This Privacy Policy covers all of your personal information when conducting transactions with Zambales I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMECO I).

ZAMECO I cares for your personal information and takes your privacy seriously. We are dedicated to ensure that your personal information is protected from collection to disposal.


A.      For applicants and existing Member Consumer Owners of the cooperative, including those with terminated services:

1.       Information you provide when applying for electric service , such as your name, address, contact number, valid ID, evidence of authority to occupy (e.g. contract of lease, deed of sale/donation, barangay certification) and if applicable, details of your authorized representative;

2.       Information you provide or any of your representative in connection with your complaints and queries regarding our services;

3.       Information you give when availing the programs of ZAMECO I such as Senior Citizen discount, Amnesty program and others;

4.       Answers you or your representative provide when answering the Customer Satisfaction Survey; and

5.       Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection such information.

B.      For prospective, active, and separated employees:

1.       Information you submit when you apply at ZAMECO I for employment, such as data contained in your resume, application letter, curriculum vitae, and application form;

2.       Information we collect while assessing your qualification such as testing results, character investigation results, and medical assessment;

3.       Information we collect and maintain about you during your employment such as payroll information, including but not limited to government mandated and third party remittances like SSS, Philhealth, and Pag-ibig contributions, taxes, bank account information; wages; entitlements and benefits; health and welfare benefits; medical and dental records; beneficiary and contact information; trainings and certifications; sanctions; employment changes/ work history;

4.       Information we retain about you after your separation of service; and

5.       Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection such information.

C.      For Suppliers and Contractors:

1.       Information you give us when you are applying for accreditation, and/or processing of payment such as your name or company’s name, tax identification number, address, and contact details; and

2.       Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection such information.

D.      For Board of Directors:

1.       The information you submit to us when applying as Board of Director, and after you become a Board of Director of ZAMECO I like your name, address, contact details, marital status, name of family members, government issued identifications, work history, and if applicable, details of your authorized representative; and

2.       Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection such information.


E.       For Guests/ Visitors:

1.       Information you provide upon entering our premises such as your name, address, contact number, purpose of visit, vehicle type and plate number or conduction sticker number; and

2.       Any other information you voluntarily provide for any legitimate purpose declared at point of collection such information.


ZAMECO I processes, analyzes, and stores the information you present to us for the following purposes:

A.      For applicants and existing Member Consumer Owners of the cooperative, including those with terminated services:


1.       Providing and continuously striving to improve our services;

2.       Responding to your inquiry, concerns, and complaints;

3.       Disseminating information regarding our notice of interruption and other programs that may involve you; and

4.       Verifying your identity and eligibility when claiming refunds, discounts, and other privileges as MCO.


B.      For prospective, active, and separated employees:

1.       Evaluating your documents  to assess your qualifications for initial employment, including verification of information  and character references (background checking);

2.       Administering your pay, statutory deductions, entitlements, and benefits;

3.       Complying with statutory and regulatory requirements and submissions;

4.       Conducting performance reviews and awards as well as administering disciplinary actions and sanctions;

5.       Establishing appropriate training and/or developmental interventions;

6.       Collecting and maintaining contact information;

7.       Maintaining your employment records;

8.       Processing employee work related claims (e.g. worker compensation, pension, insurance claims, etc.); and

9.       Developing health and wellness programs.


C.      For Suppliers and Contractors:

1.       Verifying and confirming your identity and authenticity as a supplier or contractor as part of your accreditation;

2.       Conducting business transactions;

3.       Establishing and managing business relationship with you;

4.       Facilitating the payment of your invoices for any goods or services you have delivered or rendered;

5.       Complying with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements;

6.       Updating or maintaining your account information;

7.       Establishing details of your authorized contact persons for the goods and services you supply; and

8.       Responding to your questions, comments, feedback and to informing you about our requirements, programs or advisories by the letter, e-mail, telephone, or other media for internal administrative purposes, such as auditing, data analysis, and database records management.


D.      For Board of Directors:

1.       Maintaining our board of director roster;

2.       Administering your allowances and any other payments;

3.       Establishing communications with you, including responding to your queries and requests, sending notices of general meetings, annual reports and minutes of meetings to you;

4.        Evaluating qualification requirements and screening of candidates during election of board of directors; and

5.       For legal and reportorial requirements purposes.


E.       For Guests/ Visitors:

1.       Establishing your identity;

2.       Recording the purpose of your visit; and

3.       Monitoring visitor’s activities inside the company premises, including the entrance and exit of the equipment and vehicle.


Access to your personal information is restricted to selected ZAMECO I employees and contractors on a need to know basis to carry out their responsibilities with regard to the conduct of our business such as meter reading, Statement of Accounts delivery, field inspection, energization, and restoration of your electric service.  We require our contractors, through a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to secure and keep your information confidential and we do not allow them to disclose your information to others, or to use it for their own purposes.  

Your information may also be disclosed to government entities pursuant to and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, subpoena or court order.



We are committed to ensure that your information is secure and protected. ZAMECO I shall undertake and implement reasonable organizational, physical, and technical security measures in collecting, receiving, transmitting, storing, and disposing your personal information.
