Residential: \u20b112.4840 \u2192 \u20b112.4422\/kWh (\u2212\u20b10.0418)<\/strong><\/p>\n Low Voltage: \u20b111.6299 \u2192 \u20b111.5807\/kWh (\u2212\u20b10.0492)<\/strong><\/p>\n High Voltage: \u20b19.6851 \u2192 \u20b19.7579\/kWh (+\u20b10.0728)<\/strong><\/p>\n ZAMECO I would like to inform all Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) that the residential electricity rate for October 2026 is \u20b112.4422 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This is a decrease of \u20b10.0418\/kWh from the September 2026 rate of \u20b112.4840\/kWh.<\/p>\n The Low Voltage rate also decreased to \u20b111.5807\/kWh (a reduction of \u20b10.0492\/kWh), while the High Voltage rate increased to \u20b19.7579\/kWh (an increase of \u20b10.0728\/kWh), compared with September 2026.<\/p>\n THE MAIN REASON FOR THE DECREASE IN THE RESIDENTIAL RATE IS THE DROP IN TRANSMISSION AND SYSTEM LOSS CHARGES, DESPITE INCREASES IN GENERATION AND OTHER CHARGES.<\/strong><\/p>\n For October 2026, the Generation Charge increased by \u20b10.0364\/kWh, from \u20b17.2165\/kWh in September to \u20b17.2529\/kWh. This charge reflects the cost of electricity purchased from power suppliers and the electricity market.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Transmission Charge decreased by \u20b10.1146\/kWh, System Loss by \u20b10.0256\/kWh, and Taxes\/VAT by \u20b10.0014\/kWh. Other Charges increased by \u20b10.0634\/kWh, corresponding to the UC-ME increase from \u20b10.2763 to \u20b10.3397\/kWh. The additional \u20b10.0634\/kWh is collectible for 36 months or until fully recovered, as directed by the ERC.<\/p>\n VAT ON SYSTEM LOSS: <\/strong>Under ERC Resolution Nos. 26 and 28, Series of 2026, and BIR RMC No. 97-2026, the allowable System Loss Charge is excluded from the VAT computation, subject to the ERC-prescribed system loss cap and billing requirements.<\/p>\n The collection of the Green Energy Auction Allowance (GEA-All) of \u20b10.0371\/kWh remains suspended for October 2026. Under the ERC Advisory dated August 19, 2026, the suspension covers September to December 2026 billing months.<\/p>\n Pursuant to the ERC Advisory dated May 5, 2026 under Executive Order No. 110, ZAMECO I implemented the Staggered Payment Scheme for applicable power costs to lessen the immediate impact on MCOs\u2019 electricity bills.<\/p>\n ZAMECO I\u2019s residential Distribution, Supply and Metering (DSM) Charge remains at \u20b11.4640\/kWh, unchanged since 2011. The Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Rate is no longer collected, effective September 2026.<\/p>\n Electricity rates may change monthly due to market conditions and changes in the cost of power supply.<\/p>\n ZAMECO I encourages all MCOs to practice responsible electricity use and choose energy-efficient appliances to help manage their monthly consumption and bills.<\/p>\n MCOs are reminded to pay their monthly electricity bills on time to avoid accumulating balances.
