π’ Residential Rate Update β JANUARY 2026
Dear Valued Member-Consumer-Owners,
We would like to inform you of the electricity rate update for the January 2026 billing period:
β‘ Electricity Rate: β±7.281/kWh
β‘οΈ This is β±1.1682/kWh LOWER compared to December 2025 (β±8.4492/kWh).
π Why did the electricity rate decrease?
The reduction in the overall electricity rate is mainly due to lower charges in several key components, as outlined below:
- Generation Charge (WESM)
The decrease in electricity prices at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) resulted in a lower Generation Charge, which went down by β±0.7707/kWh compared to December 2025. - Transmission Charge
The Transmission Charge decreased by β±0.2434/kWh, due to lower charges from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). - Systems Loss Charge
The Systems Loss Charge, which covers technical and non-technical system losses, decreased by β±0.1122/kWh. - Distribution, Supply & Metering (DSM) Charge
Please be advised that there is no change in the DSM Charge of β±1.464/kWh, which has remained the same since 2011.
Β We encourage everyone to continue practicing energy efficiency and wise electricity consumption to further reduce monthly electric bills.
Β Rest assured that we remain committed to delivering reliable, quality, and affordable electricity service to our Member-Consumer-Owners.
Thank you very much for your continued trust and support. πβ‘
