📢 Residential Rate Update – FEBRUARY 2026

Dear Valued Member-Consumer-Owners,

We would like to inform you of the electricity rate update for the February 2026 billing period:

Electricity Rate: 7.6918/kWh
➡️ This is 0.4108/kWh HIGHER compared to January 2026 (₱7.2810/kWh).

🔍 Why did the electricity rate increase?
The increase in the overall electricity rate is mainly due to higher charges in several key components, as outlined below:

  • Generation Charge (WESM)
The increase in electricity prices at the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) resulted in a higher Generation Charge, which went up by 0.0542/kWh compared to January 2026.
  • Transmission Charge
The Transmission Charge increased by 0.1852/kWh, due to higher charges from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
  • Systems Loss Charge
The Systems Loss Charge, which covers technical and non-technical system losses, increased by 0.0587/kWh
  • Universal Charges

Tumaas ang UCME (Universal Charge for Missionary Electrification) mula ₱0.1993 to ₱0.2763 per kWh

  • Reinvestment Fund for Sustainable CAPEX, Taxes, Subsidies & Universal Charges
    This component increased by 0.1127/kWh
  • Distribution, Supply & Metering (DSM) Charge

Please be advised that there is no change in the DSM Charge of 1.464/kWh, which has remained the same since 2011.

We encourage everyone to continue practicing energy efficiency and wise electricity consumption to help manage monthly electric bills.

Rest assured that we remain committed to delivering reliable, quality, and affordable electricity service to our Member-Consumer-Owners.

Thank you very much for your continued trust and support. 🙏⚡
